1) Ensure no snapshots are running and the application interface is closed

2) Delete the license.lic file from the ShadowProtect ProgramData directory:

C:\ProgramData\StorageCraft\spx

3) Restart the ShadowProtect Service in the Windows services.msc console

4) Enter the new license information into the ShadowProtect activation box:


Click on “Help” on the top left corner

Select “Product Activation”

Enter the new license information

Click Activate
